Missionary George Khalil, who serves along with his wife, Ros, in Nazareth, Israel, will report on their ministry during the 11:15 a.m. Bible hour on Sunday, June 16.
George Khalil was born in Nazareth, Israel, to a Palestinian Christian Arab family. He came to faith through his mother and the small local assembly at the age of 19 and learned carpentry and cabinet making. Ros was born and raised in London, England, and met George while serving with Operation Mobilization in Israel. They were married in 1979. In 1981 they sensed the Lord’s call for George to serve the Lord full-time with the Emmaus Bible Correspondence Course Arabic ministry, which George had established in 1975. In 1989 George went through the Discipleship Intern Program at Fairhaven. George serves in the Emmaus Nazareth office and as an elder in Nazareth for the last 20 years.
